About Us

Founded in 2022 by a group of passionate local women, the Wellington Dufferin Women's Association (WDWA) emerged from a collective desire to revive community spirit and foster connections in Wellington and Dufferin counties. What began as a grassroots initiative swiftly evolved into a registered Not for Profit by March 2023.

In our rapidly changing world, maintaining meaningful connections with our neighbors and community can often feel challenging. At the WDWA, we are committed to reversing this trend.

We are dedicated to cultivating a strong sense of community and belonging, uniting women of diverse backgrounds to support one another and forge lasting relationships. Through our various initiatives and programs, we aim to create a supportive network that enriches the well-being of all participants, contributing to a stronger, more connected community for everyone.

As a non-profit organization, the WDWA actively raises funds and allocates resources to address local needs and uplift community initiatives. Through engaging workshops, impactful initiatives, and community-focused events, we empower women to flourish and contribute meaningfully to our shared future.

Our Work

Fundraising Initiatives

We organize and execute various fundraising events to support local resources that address pressing needs such as poverty alleviation, gender-based violence, and women’s health. Our efforts ensure that vital programs and services continue to thrive and benefit those in need.

Community Events

We host events that bring together women from all walks of life, fostering strong support networks and meaningful connections. These events include social gatherings, networking opportunities, and educational forums that promote unity and collaboration.

Empowering Workshops

We provide a platform for women to host workshops where they can share their products, services, and businesses. These workshops create an environment where women can flourish by connecting, learning from each other, and gaining exposure for their ventures.

Local Partnerships

We collaborate with local organizations to extend our reach and impact. By working together with community partners, we can maximize our efforts and create a more significant, lasting change. Our partnerships are crucial in amplifying our mission and ensuring that we effectively address the needs of our community.

Join us in making a difference. Together, we can create a stronger, more inclusive community where every woman can thrive.
